Job Description

The Quality Responsible Payment Terminal position is an important and central position within Circle K Global Tech as he/she is responsible for the Indoor and Outdoor Card Payment Terminals.
As a technical product at our service stations across Europe the payment terminals serve Indoor Point of Sale, Fuel Pumps and Carwash and are enabling our customer to perform card payment and use Circle K Extra loyalty program.

In our Circle K site network in Europe, we have a base of several thousand installed payment Terminals.

This role includes the Payment Terminal product ownership, developing roadmaps together with solution architects and business owner. Follow up on and be responsible for software development, test, pilot, and release management together with operational quality and the financial aspects.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Product and vendor management
  • Follow up functional development and User Interface for terminals
  • Software – follow up on development, test, pilot and deployment
  • Terminal compliance according to PCI, BIA and SOX
  • Support operation, support processes, create procedures and information according to ITIL Service Management processes
  • Responsible for Card scheme/terminal certification process
  • Terminal Security awareness
  • SLA and KPI follow up
  • Payment terminal advisor to business and projects
  • Support in area as encryption, card key’s and card security
  • Cost control - budgeting and cost follow up
  • Contribute in payment projects

Main tasks:

  • You will work close to global tech quality responsible, payment architects, 3rd party vendors and business functions in payment projects.
  • Implementing changes and upgrades without unplanned downtime
  • Preparation for new system releases, acceptance tests, pilot and deployment
  • Ensuring good governance of own area and clear interfaces towards other parts of the Circle K Global Tech organization
  • Ensure stable, secure an efficient operation

The candidate profile:

Position requires some experience and knowledge within the Retail Payment area, strong coordination, communication, and analytical skills.

To be effective in this position, you shall have experience working with Payment Terminals in a technical team, retail and have customer meeting experience and be comfortable with close cooperation with both internal representatives and suppliers.

The candidate we look for is fact-based, structured, and cooperative, with a good understanding of operational efficiency and cost drivers. The role requires the ability to communicate with business sponsors and vendors in clear, concise language.

Main requirements:

  • Bachelor or master's degree in computer science or business Administration
  • Good business understanding and commercial awareness
  • Awareness and understanding regarding PCI DSS, PCI PED, ISO 8583, GDPR
  • Practical knowledge and testing of EMV compliant systems including data analysis
  • IFSF standards understanding is an advantage
  • Hands on experience with software development lifecycle with requirements capture and testing for validation and verification
  • Experience from outsourced technology service and vendor management
  • Project experience
  • Experience in establishing and following up on KPI’s for IT services (SLA) and software
  • Experience in ITIL and ITSM principles and processes
  • Have strong interpersonal, communication and planning skills, along with critical thinking and good decision-making abilities
  • Good structure, team player, proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Reliability and trustworthiness, ethical conduct and prioritize security and confidentiality
  • Good English language skills are required for this position
  • Some travel must be expected.
